Off To Sea & See Norway July 3

Gus left today for a 10 day cruise aboard the KNM(Royal Norwegian Navy) Alta where he will serve as crew for the next 10 days. Sorry we don't have any photos of him in uniform but we certainly will when he returns.

I will be spending the next 10 days visiting the gorgeous West Country(all fjords and mountains) and will spend 4 of those days visiting the Lofoten Islands (a 30 hour ferry ride from mainland Norway and above the Arctic Circle) with another of Gus's cousins, Turid. She is a wonderful guide and hysterical travel companion. Speaks terrific English with a great sense of humor.

Below I have shown some photos of the scenery and the wonderful grass roofed cabin where we spent the first night. I will try to include a photo of myself (if I can figure out how to load it)on my 65th birthday outside the only restaurant in Stryn, Norway.
